So today I was walking to my car and it started raining lightly. As the rain was coming down I began thinking about all the natural women out there who eagerly state how happy they are to now be able to go out in the rain and not have to worry about their hair. Now isn't that a beautiful thought? Well, as beautiful of a thought as that is I am here to burst that bubble. When it started raining on my head my first thought was, "my hair is not waterproof." That's right, going natural does not turn you into "rubber woman prepared to stand up to the rain in all her natural glory with no umbrella." Honey, when I have a fly twist out working for me, as I do today, I am not even trying to ruin it by getting caught in the beauty of God's rain without my family sized umbrella that is just big enough for me. Wow, I feel like mythbusters. Fact or myth, once a woman begins wearing her hair natural she has no concern about being caught in the rain without an umbrella. MYTH!!!!
